Knitting Circle(Linda Velwest) - Bring your knitting or other fiber arts projects and work on them with others. Share what you are working on and maybe get advice. Don’t know how to? Come along and we will guide you. Bring books or magazines or supplies to share or swap if you wish. Or just enjoy each other’s company.
Trinity's Gnome Homes(Trinity Picone-Louro) - I really like these little creatures. It is amazing that they are the size of my palm. I love finding things on the earth and making them into things that a gnome would use. I sometimes feel like I am a gnome when building their home. We will gather where there is lots of grass, bark, weeds, lots of sticks, flowers to make a flower bed. If you love Gnomes , come build a home with me. I want to make paper Gnomes. So we can do that together too, or bring your own Gnome.
Kickball (Arthur Velwest) I used to play kickball a lot, but I haven't been doing that lately. I think it would be a good time for me and everyone else to play my favorite sport, be outside and get some exercise. I can bring my own ball and bases. So let's have fun
Artist Trading Cards(Erika Davis-Pitre) - What are Artist Trading Cards? Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are simply pieces of art that are made out of cards measuring 2.5”by 3.5”. You can buy special paper already cut to this size, or better yet, simply use sturdy paper you already have at home. Old file folders, card stock, greeting cards – any paper that is not flimsy – can be cut to the right dimensions and used as an ATC. Think about baseball trading cards and look for paper about that weight. Or, be creative and use materials other than paper. Just keep to the 2.5” x 3.5” size. Once you have your 2.5 x 3.5” card, what you do with it is up to you. Draw on it, paint, collage, sew, embellish, write words. In an ATCs funshop, all of the participants share materials, themes, techniques and ideas with others in the funshop to make unique ATCs. Great Big Happy Jam (Andy Velwest) - Calling musicians of all abilities, let's get together and make some music!
Whether you play piano or guitar, tambourine or kazoo, bring your favorite
instrument and your voice, and join in the jam. There are dozens of 4 chord
songs that are fun to play whether its folk, blues, rock and roll, r&b or
pop, and maybe we can get a beat box rhythm going to back up some aspiring
rappers. We should also have time to let each of us show off one of our
favorites to the group. We'll have a PA and some mic's for the singers. Bring a
mic and a stand if you have one, since acoustic guitars can get lost without
them. We always need drummers! If you can keep a beat, or want to learn how,
here's you chance, bring your bongos, or a soup pot, and keep our feet tapping
to your righteous rhythm! Audience members also welcome. Come laugh at our
false starts and cheer us on to greatness!
Coloring for Everyone.(Sylvia Woodman) - I know what you are thinking...coloring? Seriously? That's
not unschooly at all! But one of the many gifts that unschooling has given to
our family is lots of time to spend doing things we enjoy merely because we
enjoy them. Come join me and enjoy some relaxing time choosing color
combinations and playing with patterns. I will provide colored pencils and lots
of coloring pages.

Knots, knots and more knots! (David Keller-Gymnich)-Bring some string and rope or use what’s provided to learn and practice some practical and decorative knots. Demonstrations for making jewelry, door mats, monkey’s fists and more will all be shared.

Bring something from home that is important to you and tell us about it. Why
is this important to you? What does it symbolize? How did you get it? What do
you do with it?...Adults and children encouraged to share. Sign up sheets will
be available beforehand so we can figure out an order to go in. You can also
sign up during the presentation. Even if you didn’t bring anything, you could
still just talk about it.
Smashing T-Shirts (Emily Gymnich-Keller) -Create your own one-of-a-kind T-shirts using colors found in leaves, flowers, fruits, and other plants. Mallets will be used to transfer the pigments from the plants to your t-shirt. Please bring a light colored t-shirt of your own to decorate. (Will have plain t-shirts of various sizes you can purchase if you forget to bring one. Cost will be the price of what the shirts were purchased for at craft store-usually no more than $4)

Do you want to learn new braiding techniques? Did you ever wish you could rock out a mohawk but don't want to set your eyes on a buzzer EVER? Do you want a beautiful wedding up-do so you look like a princess? Do you want your braids to reach your ankles and have feathers at the tips? Do you dream of purple and black streaks all over your hair but are worried about the lasting effects of chemicals? Are you like me and do you just love BIG hair? DO NOT WORRY, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE! Everything in my laboratory is temporary. (I also do some permanent stuff n will have some tricks up my sleeve) SO FEEL FREE TO LET YOUR FREAK SHINE! Whatever you always wished to do to your hair, without the permanency, can be done. We will find a way. Bring your favorite barrettes or doll heads to practice on if you have them and/or wish to bring something to work with. If you have fabric you'd like to cut into strips and put in your hair, BRING IT! Bring beads, feathers, a hair piece, fabric, fake birds and we can make your hair a nest! really, let's just go wild! The only limitations to the hair do's we do are when you stop imagining those crazy things up..... whatever is clever, let's have some fun!
Clicker Tricks for Pets(Barbara Rivera) - This class is for people only! Have some fun learning the basics of pet training using a clicker. Dog trainer Barbara Rivera will show the basics of clicker training using volunteers from the group. People can get a chance to see from an animals perspective what it is like to be taught a task. Join us for lots of laughs and learn what it takes to teach your pet anything, with patience, a clicker and some treats. Just bring yourselves and don't be late. You don't want to miss this! Dinosaurs Galore (Jackson Donzella) Join us for everything dinosaur- bring your figurines, stuffed dinosaurs or come make them from clay, learn to draw them, play with dinosaurs of all sizes, watch dinosaur movies, learn to act like one, discover your favorite dinosaur and generally just dig in to all things dinosaur. All ages welcome!
Animal Hospital& Doll First Aid Clinic (Charlotte Donzella) Have your poor old stuffed animals become unstuffed? Do your action figures suffer from bruises or scuffs? Are your dolls in need of major surgical intervention from missing arms, missing legs or missing eyes? We will be armed with needle and thread, bandages of every shape and size, magical healing stickers and remedies for every ailment (particularly the candy kind). Bring us a patient or come and be on staff at the hospital. We will have some special medical equipment on hand, but feel free to bring donations or come dressed as a vet, doctor or nurse. All are welcome!
Sing Around (Sandra Dodd) Come out for this unique singing session- we will sing a few rounds and other songs - and you don't need to be able to read music at all! Our music comes out sounding really fancy- it will be fun for all. We may even perform at a meal for the rest of the conference if everyone is game.
